While all of us have some kind of pre-existing capacity for compassion, the kind of infinite or limitless compassion described in Buddhism is the one that we need to cultivate. The Mahayana has a great wealth of concrete methods for this and I hope that everyone applies themselves to the cultivation and practice of bodhicitta.
